"We're concentrating on high-quality design, and all the best and most innovative products in furniture, lighting, gifts, books and magazines," explains store manager Ólöf Jakóbína Ernudóttir. Among the things you'll find in the store are objects from Dutch label Moooi including the experimental designs of Marcel Wanders. "On the other hand we stock designer classics from labels like Vitra and designer Tom Dixon, who recently launched his own product line." Lovers of design books will have a field day as Saltfélagið has a fabulous range for any taste conoisseur. But that's not all - the store has an in-house café which is a welcome addition to this area of town that offers few watering holes.
